Where should I go, the Urgent Care?
Call your health plan or physician for advice and direction when possible. Health Plans offer 24-hour nurse consultation and can advise you whether to go to urgent care or wait until your doctor’s office opens.

Urgent Care
Unforeseen medical problems occasionally happen when your physician’s office is closed. Call your physician, if possible, for advice and direction. Primary Care Physicians are available to provide coverage 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. Illnesses that cannot wait until the next business day, but do not require the full services of a hospital or emergency room, are best treated at an Urgent Care. AllCare offers six after-hours Urgent Cares Centers that are available on a walk-in-basis. Urgent Care Centers usually provide a more rapid means of treating certain less severe medical conditions as opposed to a hospital emergency room.
Symptoms that are usually best handled in an Urgent Care include:
- Sore throat or ear aches
- Fever
- Minor injuries, burns, or lacerations
- Skin infections and rashes
- Minor fractures or broken bones
- Backaches
- Frequent urination or burning sensation when urinating
- Persistent vomiting
- Abdominal pain or cramping
- Allergic reactions
- Insect or animal bites
- Sports injuries
- Sinus problems or other upper respiratory infection
